Adarza BioSystems Selects SunEdison Semiconductor Site for Manufacturing Immunoassay Consumables

ROCHESTER, NY:  Adarza BioSystems, Inc. a leading next generation innovator in label-free, multiplex assays announced today that it has executed an agreement with SunEdison Semiconductor to establish immunoassay consumable manufacturing facilities at its St. Peters, Missouri manufacturing site. Adarza’s site at SunEdison Semiconductor is planned to open in the beginning of 2015 and will house Adarza’s consumable product development and manufacturing. Adarza’s CEO, Rand Henke said “the SunEdison Semiconductor site, their experience with cleanroom facilities and expertise are particularly suited for the demands of our precise manufacturing requirements. The SunEdison Semiconductor site is also consistent with our commitment to build our business presence in St. Louis,” Henke said.

Dr. Ernest Mueller will head up operations at the new Adarza manufacturing facilities; he and his staff of scientists are eager to set up and begin production of Adarza’s silicon substrate and consumable end products in the new facility. Plans are to begin regular shipping of product to customers in early 2015.

“We are pleased to be working with Adarza in this win-win partnership,” said Shaker Sadasivam, SunEdison Semiconductor’s President & CEO.
